When it boils down to it, which of the two seeds are better: Flax Seed or Chia Seed?
Flax seeds have made their big debut in the nutritional scene a couple years ago, it is now found in hundreds of products such as cereal, health bars, and bread. However, chia is the new MVP. It has become famous for its effect on weight loss, diabetes, and heart health.
Both of these seeds are a great way to get more fiber in your diet, but chia has the edge: an ounce gives you 10.6 grams of fiber, or 42 per cent of your recommended daily intake, versus 7.6 grams and 31 per cent for flax.
